
Jaime Roberts has over 30 years of experience in architecture, design, and construction. He has worked on a wide variety of project types in California, New York, Washington, and across the United States. His diverse experience includes residential, advanced technology, healthcare, and government projects.
He has a deep interest in ‘person-centered design’ and incorporating inhabitant’s lived experience into the design project.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in environmental design (Architecture) from Massachusetts College of Art, he went on to receive a professional master’s degree (M. Arch) in architecture from the University of Washington. Since 1995 he has worked as an architect on increasingly complex building projects. After 15 years in architecture Jaime Roberts established his own firm in 2010 in New York and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Jaime has taught architectural courses at California College of the Arts and other colleges. Through writing Jaime shares insights on design process, history of art, and the future of the built environment.
He is known for creating the Roberts Architecture Youtube channel, where he makes videos about design process and architectural ideas. His videos are used by design and architecture schools worldwide.
